Since August 2024, Chase Orinski has been a member of the University of Iowa Baseball program, earning a spot in the highly competitive Iowa Baseball Managers program, working directly within the Video and Technology department for the Hawkeyes' Big Ten baseball team. In this role, he manages the setup, operation, and maintenance of key performance systems, including Trackman, Edgertronic, and BATS, technology that captures and analyzes everything from pitch data to swing mechanics. Beyond simply operating the equipment, Chase is responsible for distributing scouting video and analysis from these systems to coaches and fellow managers, turning raw data into actionable information the coaching staff can use to evaluate talent and refine player development plans. Working 15 to 20 hours a week alongside Big Ten coaching staff and players, he has become a trusted, everyday presence inside the program, someone coaches and players rely on to keep the technology running and the information flowing. This position has given him ongoing, hands-on experience inside the daily operations of a Division I baseball program, bridging the gap between the technical and strategic sides of the game and reinforcing the operational instincts he first developed with the IronPigs and Lehigh Athletics.

Chase has also put his technology skills to work outside of baseball, serving as Technology Coordinator for the Dan Gable Donnybrook, Iowa's premier high school wrestling tournament hosted by the Iowa City Area Sports Commission. In that role, he organized and troubleshot event technology and installed AV equipment, including televisions, computers, Ethernet, and HDMI.
